What is Three-Point Lighting?

The Definition: Three - point lighting is a standard method used in visual media such as theatre, video, film, still photography and computer-generated imagery. The goal of three point lighting is to create the illusion of a three-dimensional subject in a two-dimensional image. While you can create dimension a number of different ways, there’s no doubt that using light and shadow is a powerful way to accomplish this, and three point lighting is the lighting technique most commonly used. Three Point Lighting Technique is a standard method used in visual media such as video, film, still photography and computer-generated imagery. It is a simple but versatile system which forms the basis of most lighting. The technique uses three lights called the key light , fill light and back light . Using Photoshop

  This is the original photo that I used to photoshop the way I wanted it to look and the style we were concentrating on, bright and eye capturing. This is the first colour I liked and decided to use as my background because it was pretty but not to over the top. I then added some winter touches, with the shapes I used snowflakes in cold colours and the little white cloud looking lines. The 3rd photo (above) I then decided to change a little bit. I changed the season to summer so there wasn't a particular reason for this I just wanted it to be a more happy mood. I then discovered if I used the blur tool to make her hair look more even it would look more professional look more professional. Then I decided to change the photo completely because I felt that the photo looked a bit boring and I wanted it to have more images and effects on my photo so I changed the background colour to black so make it look like it was in the night.
